blogging from my blackberry

I’m blogging from my blackberry pearl, well sort of.  We had some very ruff thunder storms last night, in which lighting hit an oak tree in my front yard, and several other things.  One of which is that it knocked out my phone line, which means no internet.  So why not call AT&T and have them add the tethering package to my blackberry internet package and try that.  Luckily I had the connection manager already installed on my computer from playing with it in the past, in which I just connected and it auto detected my blackberry and wahoo I’m on the net.  I must say I’m very happy.  Better than dial up?  Hell Yes.  It does have a compression tool with it, for browsing its great.  If your needing to see some images or save some images for work or some other purpose you defiantly want to turn the compression off.  For browsing, email, myspace and everything I’ve tried so far though it is great.  Defiantly something awesome to use on the road or just out and about away from a standard connection.  On a side note, GSM lets you have dual connections as in data and voice.  Ive been sending and receiving text messages while being in the internet which is also great.
