How to frustrate a Blackberry Pearl 8130 user?

So the Blackberry 8100 Pearl has been out for a while, which is a GSM blackberry and has a huge amount of accessories out on the market. So I was trying a leather case with a Blackberry 8130, which is made for CDMA networks, and noticed that the camera is flipped to the left rear of the phone, instead of the right site where the 8100 series is. Also that their is an extra button on the right side of the phone that has been moved down. What does this mean? Try a case made for the 8100 Pearl on a 8130 Pearl and you will realize that it is going to block the camera and also that it is more than likely going to hit the right side key. So why was this done? Who knows all the reasons but I’m sure it doesn’t help that people will have to buy and make different accessories for the Blackberry Pearl 8130.

Hey there, just wanted to say that I do enjoy your blog and subscribe to it.
Are you aware that the BlackBerry 8130, 8110, 8120, etc are considered to be the Pearl 2? There is a significant software upgrade in this Pearl 2, as well as upgraded camera, keypad, and some other goodies… Like the SD Card can be loaded from the OUTSIDE and now (as you’ve noted) there are TWO convenience keys.
Anyway, the original Pearl/8100 is on the way out.
Best wishes.
